You’re probably expecting paragraph after paragraph of legal jargon here. But we’ve just got 4 points that you need to acknowledge and accept before using the departureboard.io API:
You accept that unless otherwise explicitly confirmed in writing by us, the departureboard.io API is provided free of charge and without warranty. We make no guarantees around availability, uptime, reliability, accuracy of data or any other metric.
You accept that we are not liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of using the departureboard.io API.
You accept that we may (at our sole discretion) limit, terminate or block your access to the API without notice or reason.
You accept that we will store your National Rail API Key (in an irriversable hash format) for the sole purpose of whitelisting (as described in the registration section of the documentation). We confirm that we will not use your key for any purpose other than whitelisting, and that we do not have any access to the key itself (only an irriversable SHA512 hash of the key). As part of this process we will make 1 API call during registration using your key to check that it is valid.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
